Obituary from newspaper clipping. (I believe this was from the Jasper, MO newspaper)

Mary Catherine Pugh was born in Tennessee, February 11, 1839, and died at her home near Jasper, Sunday January 7, 1917, at the age of 77 years, 10 months and 26 days. Her maiden name was Caskey and she married William R. Pugh February 26, 1857. To this union were born 12 children, 6 of whom are living, as follows: J. Allen Pugh of Oglesby, OK., and Charles S., Ed J., Henry G., Elmer, and Fred of this community.

Mrs. Pugh became a member of the Baptist Church in early life and lived an earnest faithful Christian life. She was a good neighbor and a faithful friend, her life being full of service for others. She is survived by 6 sons, 35 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Mary Catherine is buried at Waters Cemetery, Northwest of Jasper, Barton Co., MO.

Obituary - 2/1/1932

James Allen Pugh, 73, died yesterday at his home at Oglesby. He was a resident of that community for the past thirty-three years. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 tomorrow afternoon at the grave in the Tyner cemetery where burial is to be made. Rev. W. V. Buckner will officiate. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Katie Pugh at the home; four daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Dayringer of Carthage, Mo., Mrs. Edna Topping of Oglesby, Mrs. Jessie Gougler of Bartlesville, and Mrs. Laura Weaver of Oglesby; four sons, George, Bill, Grant and Harry Pugh and a stepson, Fred Powers, all of Oglesby. Sixteen grandchildren also survive. The body will remain at the Burt Funeral home until the hour of the service.
